All of the searches on this site are set up to only pull single family homes and condominiums under $100 per square foot. Please note that there are many other excellent bargains that are a little more expensive (per square foot). For example, there are many cheap homes throughout Bakersfield that are smaller in size and these tend to bring a higher dollar amount per square foot - even so, they will be listed at a lower price. If you are primarily interested in looking at the lowest priced homes in Bakersfield, we can set up a custom search for you with any criteria you are looking for. Just give us a call at (661) 243-7282 or use our contact form to let us know exactly what you want in your new home.

Please note:

According to the area map of the Bakersfield MLS the southwest area of Bakersfield extends east of the 99 freeway to Union Avenue. Most of our customers who are looking for cheap homes in southwest Bakersfield are only interested in those west of the 99 freeway, therefore we have decided to classify anything east of the 99 as east Bakersfield for the purpose of our searches.

Answers to some common questions:

Why do homes sometimes appear on the map outside the area that I am searching for?

If a home comes up on the map that appears to be outside of the search area - it has been entered into the MLS incorrectly. You will just have to disregard any of these. We are very careful when entering our own listings in the MLS, but since we do not limit the searches to only our own listings, we have no control over many of them.

I Have seen some mobile homes listed with the single family homes.

Although there is a separate search for mobile homes - all of the other searches are set to display only single family homes. If you happen to see a manufactured or mibile home mixed in, this is because the listing office has entered the information incorrectly.
